THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced and driven Accounting Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily and ad hoc accounting and finance activities ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Lead the month-end book close process and prepare consolidation packages ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial reports.
- Prepare and manage balance sheet reconciliations ensuring all accounts are reconciled and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Manage vendor payments and expense reimbursements in a timely and accurate manner.
- Lead the annual budget process and rolling forecasts tracking actual expenses against budget to ensure fiscal discipline.
- Prepare monthly managerial P&L providing leadership with insights into the performance of each entity and organization.
- Maintain and enforce adherence to internal control policies and procedures ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
- Continuously assess and improve current processes by collaborating with finance leads and cross-functional teams.
- Implement and manage accounting ERP systems (Kissflow Concur and SAP) to ensure proper workflow and approval processes.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of tax filings in compliance with applicable laws.
- Work with external accounting firms for financial statement audits or reviews.
- Manage payroll entries 401(k) reconciliations and other employee benefits accounting.
- Supervise mentor and train accounting staff providing guidance on technical accounting matters.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 7 years experience in accounting or auditing in either public accounting or private industry.
- Prior accounting manager experience is preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Korean with the ability to communicate effectively with HQ in Korea.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment and manage projects independently.
- Highly organized and diligent with excellent time management skills.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
