Summary:

Under the direction of the Operations Manager the Operations Coordinator will work with various functions throughout the business to coordinate work centers and materials required for production. This will include partnering with engineering purchasing sales and manufacturing to ensure accurate routing of work orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Receives fastfield (shop inspection reports) reviews add needed components and repairs then changes working status to RFQ for quoting.
  • Reviews and communicates with Supervisor/Manager daily in Open order and Demand/schedule reports.
  • Communicates back log with Supervisor for scheduling purposes on monthly revenue inspections and other direct activities needed for the month.
  • Reconciles missing information or changes to routing to include conferring with operations manager sales department or other impacted functions
  • Communicates changes in Schedule to Supervisor.
  • Coordinates with supply chain on material issues
  • Other related duties as assigned
  • Manages inventory by conducting regular cycle counts and updating bin stock locations for spare parts and components to ensure proper safety stock is maintained.
  • Ensures all necessary data has been registered in a timely manner in the system(s).
  • Handles all Warehouse related activities- such as receiving posting and shipping

Skills:

  • Must have the mechanical aptitude to learn the technical nature of company products
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; be a strong user of Excel
  • Must have a sense of urgency
  • Must be extremely flexible to adjust to continually changing demands and adjust production plan to meet the demands

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work closely with several departments to ensure routing accuracy
  • Syteline experience is a plus
