About the Role:

As a Training Specialist for Research Exchange within the Editorial Learning Essentials team you will play a crucial role in educating both internal and external stakeholders about our innovative platform. Your expertise in engaging large audiences and facilitating drop-in clinics will be vital in supporting colleague development and ensuring effective use of the system.

This is a one year Fixed Term role

How you will make an impact:

Support and Collaboration

  • Review and edit learning materials including online courses workshops and training modules developed by the Training Manager to ensure theyre up-to-date and meet the needs of our diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with the Training Manager and subject matter experts to provide input on instructional content that meets organizational goals and learner requirements.
  • Support the Training Manager in the preparation of presentations and training resources.

Training and Facilitation

  • Facilitate virtual training sessions for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to support training sessions ensuring content is clear concise and engaging.
  • Manage and facilitate internal and external drop-in clinics to support colleague development with the Research Exchange system.
  • Conduct editor onboarding setting up on the system and providing necessary training.
  • Arrange and conduct system/workflow training for editors and administrators addressing new features and functionalities as needed.
  • Facilitate targeted training sessions on specific detailed issues for editors and administrators.
  • Employ effective tactics and techniques to promote standardized use of training materials minimizing custom approaches.

Feedback and Improvement

  • Collect and analyze feedback from training sessions to identify areas for improvement and enhance future training effectiveness.
  • Work with the Training Manager to implement changes based on feedback and ensure continuous improvement of training programs.

We are looking for people who:

  • Have 3-5 years of relevant or transferable experience.
  • Have knowledge of Articulate Rise 360 Storyline 360 and Canva.
  • Have proven experience in supporting the design and deployment of training events and programs.
  • Can present complex information to a variety of audiences with strong presentation skills.
  • Have knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles.
  • Are familiar with traditional and modern training methods tools and techniques.
  • Can work effectively with different personalities and handle challenging issues.
  • Can foster connections with multiple audiences.
  • Can interpret and deliver materials without needing intricate expert knowledge.
  • Have high-level communication skills and are extremely organized and detail-oriented.

We are committed to fair transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The range below represents Wileys good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the United Kingdom Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to geographic location skills and competencies.
