Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Counsel to join our legal team in North America. As a key member of our global legal department you will support our rapidly expanding business and organization working intensively with local stakeholders and global teams. This position will be based onsite at our Houston TX North America headquarters & will report directly to the Group General Counsel based in Austria.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to the US business units management and stakeholders.
- Draft review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including customer supplier and partnership agreements.
- Ensure compliance with US federal and state laws and regulations as well as international standards.
- Manage and resolve disputes litigation and regulatory matters.
- Support M&A activities corporate governance and risk management initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including operations sales HR and compliance.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team providing practical solutions and a can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Coordinate with external counsel as necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
- Legal qualification and active license to practice law in at least one US state.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant legal experience preferably in an international industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of supporting fast-growing businesses and organizations.
- Strong knowledge of US commercial corporate and regulatory law.
- International professional experience a plus.
- Excellent negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- High level of integrity business acumen and a proactive solution-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel as needed; experience working with European headquarters is a plus.
