Job Description

The Business Systems Analyst supports core finance and treasury operations and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) functions. This role is a part of the Financial Management Services Product Team within a product-centric delivery model focusing on iterative improvement cross-functional collaboration and long-term value delivery.

The Business Systems Analyst works closely with finance leaders financial analysts product managers engineers and data teams to shape and support systems including ERP Treasury and forecasting & planning platforms. This role is a key player in delivering technological solutions that enable smarter decisions better financial visibility and operational efficiency.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support enhancements upgrades and continuous improvement of finance systems and forecasting & planning platforms.
  • Collaborate with finance accounting treasury and financial planning & analysis stakeholders to elicit and refine business needs across both operational and strategic planning processes.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories process flows and acceptance criteria with a focus on both short-term wins and long-term scalability.
  • Support solution design for ERP systems (e.g. Peoplesoft Oracle SAP etc.) and enterprise forecasting & planning platforms (e.g. Planful Anaplan OneStream etc.).
  • Advance integrated planning initiatives by contributing to financial forecasting model changes scenario planning capabilities and forecasting workflows.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and stakeholder training for newly released features or workflows.
  • Analyze track and report on key product and platform KPIs including system adoption process efficiency and forecast accuracy.
  • Continuously assess system performance integration needs and change impacts to ensure alignment with finance transformation goals.


Required Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance accounting management information systems or equivalent
  • 4-6 years of experience in the Business System Analyst field with a focus on accounting finance and planning systems
  • Technical expertise and strong understanding across finance accounting and financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
  • Solid working knowledge of finance processes (GL close reporting) and financial planning & analysis workflows
  • Experience with ERP systems such as PeopleSoft Oracle Cloud SAP or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one financial planning & analysis tool such as Planful Anaplan OneStream or similar
  • Experience working in Agile product teams (Scrum SAFe)
  • Solid documentation and analysis skills including use tools including Jira Confluence and Visio and similar
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with experience in data modeling reporting and process optimization.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $69053.00 - $93425.00 per year which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to location relevant experience skills and knowledge business needs market demand and other factors Thrivent deems important.
