Job Duties:

In the Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Population Lead role you will assist with the recruitment of top-tier preceptors matching students in clinical placements and collaborate to coordinate and oversee the adult/gerontology primary care program and activities. You will also supervise faculty teaching in the adult/gero primary care track.

In this role you will teach in the DNP program and provide hands-on instruction and guidance in classrooms simulated care environments and through experiential learning. Depending on expertise qualifications and program needs it is possible to be assigned to teach in undergraduate or PhD programs.

The FTE for this position is 80% to 100%. Starting FTE upon hire is expected to be 80%. This is a C-basis (9-month) position. This appointment is expected to start on January 2 2026. This position requires work to be performed in-person onsite at a designated campus work location.

As part of the UW-Madison Health Care Component (HCC) and your work at the School of Nursing you may have access to PHI (personal health information). All School faculty staff students volunteers and unpaid affiliates are required to complete HIPAA training as part of their orientation.

Employment in this position is contingent upon the successful candidates ability to provide satisfactory documentation for various medical clearances and certifications as required by the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing and/or its affiliated clinical partners. Examples of required medical clearances and certifications include but are not limited to: RN license negative TB status COVID vaccination MMR varicella hepatitis B and others.

Travel to clinical sites may be required.

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.

Official transcripts will be required upon hire.

Compensation:

The minimum starting salary for this position is $90500. Actual salary will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications. For FTE less than 100% actual salary earned will be prorated based on FTE (full-time status). At 80% FTE the person hired can expect to receive 80% of the advertised salary.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong interest in and commitment to the teaching mission of the School of Nursing. Experience with clinical instruction active learning competency-based teaching simulation and inter-professional education is desirable.
