The Foundation Intern supports the team across multiple program areas including communications donor relations Childrens Miracle Network (CMN) third-party fundraising creative content production and some administrative needs. The intern is expected to be adaptable tech-savvy detail-oriented and willing to assist wherever needed.
Overall Team Support & Operations
-Assist with errands scheduling logistics and day-to-day needs across Foundation departments including donor visits and campaign support.
Communications & Creative
- Assist in maintaining the communications calendar and scheduling social media content using tools like Canva.
- Support content creation including photography short-form videos and graphic design for digital campaigns and email communications.
- Serve as a back-up for capturing on-site visuals at check presentations and celebratory moments.
Donor Relations & Childrens Miracle Network (CMN)
- Assist with donor relations tasks including stewardship social media etc.
- Support CMN program staff with partner visits campaign material organization and volunteer/donor engagement. (CMN is a national nonprofit that supports childrens hospitals through corporate partnerships and fundraising campaigns.)Participate in brainstorming sessions around campaign appreciation initiatives and
seasonal outreach (e.g. holidays).
Third-Party & Community Fundraising
-Assist with community partner communications and stewardship.
-Support material preparation delivery and relationship-building efforts with third-party
fundraisers.
Event Support (As Needed)
-Provide occasional support for signature events such as our annual car raffle fundraising galas and CMN campaigns especially in peak periods.
-Assist with guest list review promotional strategy ideas and onsite logistics when required.
-Provide additional assistance during peak fundraising seasons such as car moves pick-ups/drop-offs or serving as a second set of hands as needed.
Meetings & Special Projects
-Attend weekly team meetings and regular one-on-one check-ins with the Director.
-Support special projects across the Foundation team as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Current student at an accredited college or university
- Availability: minimum 20 hours per week
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) Canva and general tech tools
- Excellent organization time-management and communication skills including comfort handling phone calls
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a team-based or nonprofit setting
- Comfort with photography video editing and social content creation
- Familiarity with working alongside volunteers donors or external partners
WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Willingness to assist in a variety of hands-on tasks including occasional evening or weekend hours during key moments
- Ability to host hospital tours or donor visits as needed
- Access to personal vehicle valid drivers license and insurance
- Openness to learning new tools and participating in ongoing professional development.
