Position Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Sr. Director World WW SE Specialists & Architecture Lead to lead our team of elite technical specialists and drive revenue expansion both to and beyond traditional security buyers. This role serves as the technical leader within Sales Engineering building and leading a world-class organization that impacts strategic opportunities while mentoring the broader sales organization.
As the architectural authority for our worldwide sales engineering function you will translate deep technical expertise into compelling business outcomes that resonate with CIOs CTOs CISOs and line-of-business executives. You will lead specialized teams across Identity Security Cloud Identity Server PAM and Platform architectures while establishing Delinea as the definitive voice in cloud-native identity and access management solutions.
This is a revenue-driving leadership role that requires exceptional technical depth proven team-building capabilities executive communication skills and the strategic vision to position Delineas solutions across our customers entire IT organization.
What Youll Do:
Technical Leadership & Revenue Impact
Drive Strategic Deal Success: Lead technical engagement on high-value opportunities providing architectural guidance and executive-level technical validation that accelerates deal closure and expands transaction size
Expand Market Reach: Develop and execute strategies to position Delinea solutions beyond the CISO to CIO CTO and line-of-business stakeholders demonstrating clear business value for cloud-native and AI-driven initiatives
Thought Leadership: Establish Delinea as the authoritative voice in identity-centric security architectures particularly around cloud-native environments Zero Trust implementations and emerging use cases like Agentic AI
Competitive Differentiation: Articulate Delineas architectural advantages in complex technical evaluations ensuring our solutions are positioned as enterprise-grade platforms rather than point security tools
Team Leadership & Development
Build Elite Technical Teams: Recruit develop and retain world-class solution architects and technical specialists across global markets creating clear career progression paths and fostering psychological safety
Mentorship & Enablement: Serve as technical mentor and force-multiplier for the broader sales engineering organization sharing architectural expertise and go-to-market best practices
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales leadership Product Management and Marketing to ensure technical positioning aligns with business objectives and market opportunities
Global Team Management: Lead specialized architect teams including Identity Security Architects Cloud Identity Architects Server PAM Architects and Platform Specialists across worldwide markets
Strategic Architecture & Innovation
Solution Architecture: Define and continuously evolve Delineas technical reference architectures for enterprise deployments ensuring solutions scale from mid-market to Fortune 100 environments
Market Intelligence: Leverage deep customer interactions to identify emerging technical trends and business drivers that create expansion opportunities for Delineas platform
Customer Advocacy: Serve as the technical bridge between strategic customers and Delineas product strategy ensuring customer feedback influences platform evolution
Industry Engagement: Represent Delinea at industry conferences customer advisory boards and analyst briefings building market credibility for our architectural approach
What Youll Bring:
Leadership & Experience
20 years of progressive experience in technical sales engineering solution architecture or related customer-facing technical roles
10 years of people management experience building and leading high-performing technical teams in enterprise software companies
Proven track record of driving revenue growth through technical leadership with demonstrated ability to influence deals above traditional transaction thresholds
Executive presence with experience presenting to and influencing C-level executives and senior IT leadership
Technical Expertise
Deep architectural knowledge of identity and access management privileged access management and cloud security frameworks
Advanced understanding of cloud-native architectures containerization and modern application deployment patterns
Expertise in authentication protocols including SAML OAuth 2.0 OpenID Connect LDAP Kerberos and PKI
Strong foundation in distributed systems networking protocols and enterprise infrastructure architectures
Emerging technology awareness including AI/ML security implications Zero Trust architectures and cloud identity governance
Business & Communication Skills
Exceptional communication abilities with a proven track record of translating complex technical concepts into business value propositions
Strategic thinking with ability to see beyond immediate technical requirements to broader business transformation opportunities
Consultative approach with demonstrated success building trusted advisor relationships with technical and business stakeholders
Global perspective with experience managing teams and customer relationships across multiple geographic regions
Preferred Qualifications
Engineering background with Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related technical field; or equivalent experience.
Industry recognition through speaking engagements published thought leadership or technical community contributions
Competitive experience with direct knowledge of PAM/IAM competitive landscape including CyberArk Okta Ping Identity SailPoint and other market participants
Enterprise software experience with previous roles at high-growth technology companies serving Fortune 500 customers
Technical certifications relevant to cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) security frameworks or identity technologies
