What will my duties include
- Support the Head Chef in managing and training a diverse kitchen team.
- Implement and manage Food Safety Plans.
- Prepare and cook menu as per cooking guidelines and set standards.
- Work in conjunction with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ensure all food safety procedures are being followed.
The role you are applying for may be quite fast-paced and require you to complete tasks including but not limited to lifting boxes kegs or stock standing for long periods of time and utilising stairs.
What we are looking for:
- Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Food Handlers Certificate.
- Experience working in a pub/bistro fast-paced environment.
- Well-versed in all kitchen areas with hands-on experience.
- Ability to follow and give directions when required.
- Willingness to work various shifts including evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
- Full working rights in Australia.
