We are seeking a flexible and dependable Child Development Classroom Assistant/Floater to join our early childhood education team. This position supports classrooms across the center by stepping in where needed to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. The Floater will assist teachers with implementing developmentally appropriate activities maintaining a safe and nurturing environment and supporting childrens routines including meals play and rest times. Ideal candidates are adaptable team-oriented and passionate about working with young children. This is a vital role that helps ensure continuity of care and supports a positive learning environment throughout the center.Under the direction of Child Development Center management and the Mentor Teacher the Child Development Classroom Assistant/Floaterassists in the implementation of developmentally-appropriate curriculum and programs for children (ages six weeks through six years old) in the Child Development Center classrooms. Supports the Child and Family Studies Early Childhood Education (ECE) program faculty by supporting program students by modeling developmentally appropriate practice professionalism positive communication and ethical decision making in alignment with NAEYC code of ethics.
