Description
SUMMARY:
As a key member of the retail team the Consumer Lending Officer is instrumental in building loyal memberships. This officer assists members both in person and over the phone with their financial needs. By actively listening and evaluating these needs the Consumer Lending Officer recommends suitable loan deposit banking and insurance products. Additionally they work closely with internal teammates to seek advice and make referrals that enhance members financial stability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Utilize problem-centric discovery techniques to influence members to act in their own best interest.
Accurately tracks sales results including effectively managing outbound campaign lists.
Appropriately refers and cross-sells all Credit Union products and services to build loyal relationships and achieve individual sales targets.
Meets or exceeds unit sales goals for loans ancillary products account engagement new deposits and drives services per household.
Analyze and processes consumer loan applications and provides immediate loan approval based on system parameters and loan policy
Processes a variety of financial transactions for members including the opening and closing of accounts reengaging members completing loans processing payment methods and handling transactions. Additionally responds to members inquiries about account operations service access modifying service features on various accounts and helps members maximize the effective use of service offerings.
Provides additional member service functions as needed and supports colleagues in completing tasks and assignments
Operates a personal computer to accurately post transactions access account information balance transactions update member account transactions and manage call lists.
Serves the Moline branch daily with occasional evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge Of:
Regulatory and compliance requirements applying to credit union deposit and lending products and services
Ability To:
Manage a varied range of duties and responsibilities.
Engage in roleplay scenarios and accept and implement coaching/feedback.
Apply mathematical concepts such as logic decimals computation logic statistics and analysis.
Use reasoning ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Explain the oranizations value proposition.
Recognize opportunities and recommend them to leadership to improve employee and member experiences.
Operate software for sales and service delivery including CRM systems Microsoft software etc.

Effectively communicate with members to sell credit union products and services
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge skills and abilities required to perform the job is acceptable. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree (B.A) from four-year college or university preferred
Alternatively three years of verifiable success in sales financial management or relationship building role.
Proficiency with Microsoft software
