We have an opportunity for a Retirement Housing Officer to join our specialist housing team based at Harling Court Ledbury with occasional travel to nearby schemes and Platform Housing offices when required.
This is a part-time role working an average of 25 hours per week on a shift rota basis. You will need to be flexible to work shift patterns between 8am and 10pm Monday to Sunday. There will also be the requirement for sleep-ins up to twice a week for which you will receive 55 per sleep-in.
What could you be doing
As a Retirement Housing Officer you will be providing a housing and tenancy management service to maximise tenancy sustainment. Youll be a regular and flexible customer contact for the residents providing practical and preventative support and advice. As well as this you will signpost to specialist care and support services to maximise wellbeing social interaction and minimise isolation.
You will provide effective building management including property inspections risk assessments H&S monitoring and compliance checks. Responding investigating and taking timely action to reported breaches of tenancy and leasehold agreementswill be a key part of the role.
Some things we need from you:
Experience of working in a customer-facing role in a Housing organisation or with older people in a community/retirement housing.
You will be customer focused and may have experience of working with customers to solve complex issues.
An awareness of working with vulnerable Adults would be desirable.
Great interpersonal skills and used to communicating with people from diverse backgrounds.
Keen to deliver high standards with an ability to look to improve services too.
Confidence using digital devices ICT software and systems.
Due to the travel to offices and other facilities a driving license and use of your own vehicle will be required.
An Enhanced DBS check is also required for this role.
