Job Description

WHO is Sound Generations

We are a comprehensive non-profit organization that serves older adults and people with disabilities in King County. Our mission is to partner with older adults to provide accessible and inclusive services so they can age their way.

We are currently seeking a Senior Center Program Managerto join our team at Lake City Seniors in Seattle WA.

What will YOU do

The Senior Center Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a multi-service senior center. The Senior Center Program Manager oversees staff and manages budgets contracts and programs. Adheres to the rules and regulations of applicable governmental agencies with input from partnering organizations and Senior Center Advisory Groups.

This position calls for a strong leader who can effectively manage complex situations and someone who brings compassion and a deep commitment to uplifting and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.

Pay Rate:$81090 per year.

Work Schedule:Monday Through Friday 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan implement monitor and evaluate programs events and activities.
  • Develop and manage assigned budgets and operating plans. Reconcile code and approve invoices. Invoice/bill funders. Cultivate new sources of revenue.
  • Develop and maintain a clean and safe environment that encourages participation at the center and utilizes an intercultural model.
  • Identify funding and grant opportunities; prepare and manage grants and reporting.
  • Design and lead asset-mapping and community engagement plans to better inform outreach and service delivery particularly for isolated and marginalized older adults.
  • Review program and recommend changes modifications and/or expansion with appropriate documentation and analysis.
  • Develop a collaborative and effective team in a healthy work environment. Supervise train and evaluate assigned employees.
  • Maintain legal and contractual compliance.
  • Represent program/department to internal and external audiences. Provide leadership effective public relations advocacy and information to the target population and community members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree OR Equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.
