Job Description
Do you have a passion for making a real difference in the lives of teens living with mental health challenges and substance use disorders At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) were seeking a compassionate and dedicated part-timeDirect Care Technicianto join our team at the Adolescent Residential Home in Aberdeen NC. As a valued member of our collaborative and supportive team you will work together to transform the lives of individuals by providing a comprehensive range of services that treat the whole person and empower patients to find their way forward.
Part-Time Schedule 24 hours:
Friday Midnight to Saturday Noon (12hours) & Saturday Midnight to Sunday Noon (12 hours)
What Youll Do
As a Direct Care Technician on the team you will be responsible for providing and maintaining a therapeutic and safe group environment and attending to the welfare and basic needs of clients. The Direct Care Tech provides informal counseling that involve behavioral techniques reality therapy supportive encouragement and socialization skills for the clients. You will also engage with the adolescents and participate in NA/AA meetings adventure social and educational outings and provide transportation to appointments using a company vehicle.

What Were Looking For
To join our team as a Direct Care Technician you must be able to engage with adolescents and create a report help them move toward successful completion of treatment requirements and communicate with community agencies on their behalf for referrals. We also require:
- High school diploma or GED
- Maintain valid state appropriate drivers license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
