Job Description
Afternoon AssistantFacilitator - Lindbergh Early Childhood Education
- Part-time placed positionapproximately 20 hours per week
- Schedule Monday-Friday 1:30-5:30pm school year
- Beginning hourly rate:$15.00/hour
- Non-exempt
- Benefits not included
Summary: Work as a member of a classroom team to maintain a safe and positive learning environment for preschool children 2-5 years of age. Employee must be able to be flexible reliable positive communicate effectively as part of a team and take direction from the teacher and facilitator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop positive communication with building and classroom staff students and their families Model and promote respect and caring in relationships with children parents families colleagues and the school and district community
- Utilize positive research-based strategies to guide students social behavior in a way that maintains an effective learning environment during the school day
- and in aftercare
- Engage in the support of implementation of the current lesson plan or any verbal or written plans for classrooms and individual students during the school
- day and also during aftercare hours to promote curiosity and a love of learning
- Participate in ongoing professional learning through the LECE school community offerings
