Raw Material Coordinator Compounding
Position Overview
Position Objective:
To provide superior customer service and maintain accurate raw material inventory. Initiate innovative plans to reduce inventory cost and promote efficient work habits. Provide support to managers in producing reports and various assigned tasks. Responsible for assisting with and coordinating the ordering receiving inventorying and dispensing of necessary raw materials for each of the process departments.
Essential Duties:
- Maintain inventory of the following:
Latex Compounding (Latex raw materials via both rail car tanker truck and tote delivery)
Extrusion Compounding (Raw materials via both rail car tanker truck and tote delivery)
Maintain adequate levels of inventory including Picotac Printex Permablack Shawfax TacolynChemsperse ATH 60 Chemthik Base 5544 and Remind
- Receive inspect and verify chemicals sprays and above mentioned raw materials.
- Maintain common area for chemicals sprays and above mentioned raw materials.
- Inventory common area raw materials daily and weekly.
- Confined Space authorized and attendant for scheduled tank cleanings
- Conduct all raw material testing ensure that all results fall with tolerance and maintain results
- Conduct a daily inventory and pull and submit the daily NGR consumption for Extrusion
- Serve as the liaison between Sourcing and vendors or contractors for the department
- Maintain inventory levels of all raw material used on the Precoat line (tenter pin oil maylon and tenter chain oil).
- Maintain adequate inventory levels for chemicals sprays and above mentioned raw materials to accommodate production.
- Responsible for release of conforming raw materials to production departments.
- Share responsibility with Departmental Manager for initiating P.I.Q.M. Notice of non-conformance.
- Responsible for unloading rail car
- Maintain inventory of all necessary disposal containers as needed for Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste
- Collect and verify all C of As for incoming materials
- Responsible for rail car changes and deliveries
- Responsible for all MSDS administrative responsibilities.
- Observe daily all chemical containment areas for potential leaks & spills
- Receive all materials into the plant and in PeopleSoft.
- Maintain good communication between other shifts and manager
- Operate at Powered Industrial Vehicle to assist in off loading deliveries when needed
- Assist Supply Room Clerk with performance of cycle counts and inventory audits
- Maintain all aspects of Hazardous Waste Management procedures (E9056)
- Follow waste disposal procedures for Non Hazardous Waste (E9044)
- Maintain all aspects of Non Hazardous Waste Management procedures (E9045)
Non-Essential Duties:
- Answer phone calls for self and other office members
- Fill out requisitions for supplies
- Keeping storage areas clean
- Complete other tasks as assigned
- Serve on teams/committees as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to read reports and computer screens
- Must be able to communicate verbally on a telephone
- Sit/Stand up to 8 hours/day
- Be able to correctly utilize existing inventory system
- Must be able to work required overtime
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to read and write legibly
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
