Job Description
Test Engineer II Johnson Matthey Inc. Taylor MI:
Review catalyst emission performance data from testing completed on engines. Build and maintain effective relationships with customers by providing daily status updates scheduling information and technical results. Act as liaison between customer and internal stakeholders to develop testing plans using company standards and procedures. Monitor test cells daily to make sure customer test requirements are being met. Identify and propose use of new technologies to gain competitive advantage. Provide technical support to calibration engineers to help in the analysis of catalyst performance problems and assist in the diagnosis and solution of these problems. Provide analysis and interpretation of technical data and emission test results. Ensure accurate and timely communication of data. Provide technical advice and direction in the design fabrication and use of mechanical hardware such as fixtures converters injection systems instrumentation and control systems. Up to 25% telecommuting permitted in the Taylor MI area.
Full time employment Monday Friday 40 hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field and 1 year of work experience in the job offered or related lieu of a Bachelors degree the employer will accept 2 additional years of professional experience.
Of the required experience must have 1 year of experience in the following:
- Catalyst Testing or Engine Testing.
- Engine Testing and Catalytic Converter testing.
- Project Management methods such as Agile Scrum or Waterfall.
- Test Control software such as INCA AnD AVL Puma or Horiba Star.
- Computer Programming tools such as Excel VBA or Diadem.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
