Job Description:
The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for utilizing advanced ultrasound technology to produce imaging results that assist in the diagnosis of patient conditions. This role is vital within the healthcare facility ensuring the acquisition of high-quality images and maintaining the safety and comfort of patients during the procedure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound examinations as ordered by physicians ensuring high-quality imaging results.
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Review and analyze the images produced providing preliminary findings to the interpreting physician.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure that it is in proper working order.
- Document patient information and examination details accurately in accordance with facility protocols.
- Adhere to safety standards and infection control protocols while interacting with patients and handling equipment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Essential Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program.
- Certification from ARDMS or ARRT.
- Current CPR certification.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as a Sonographer.
