Job Summary:
This role is for an X-Ray Technologist in a busy acute care hospital setting. The technologist will perform a variety of imaging procedures including fluoroscopy and portable X-rays for all age groups in the Emergency Department Trauma unit and Operating Room. The position requires at least one year of experience and proficiency in various X-ray techniques.
Location: Anchorage Alaska United States
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations utilizing various X-ray techniques (e.g. fluoroscopy portable X-rays).
- Prepare patients for examinations ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain and operate X-ray equipment adhering to safety protocols.
- Process and manage images using the hospitals electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of one year of experience as an X-Ray Technologist.
- Proficiency in various X-ray techniques including fluoroscopy and portable X-rays.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Fluoroscopy experience.
Special Considerations:
- Willingness to float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs.
- Open to accommodating a block schedule.
- No on-call requirements.
- No weekend requirements.
- First-time X-Ray Technologists are accepted.
Scheduling:
- Three 12-hour day shifts per week.
- Guaranteed 70 hours per two weeks.
- Possibility of being called off for one 10-hour shift per two weeks.
