Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server/Oracle Data Engineer Senior Developer to join our team in a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SQL Server and Oracle development a strong understanding of financial or accounting systems and experience within the oil and gas industry.
This position requires hands-on experience with database development Python integration and an understanding of modern application architectures. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced production-oriented environment with a focus on high-quality maintainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain complex SQL Server and Oracle database solutions
- Build and optimize stored procedures functions and performance-tuned queries
- Develop Python scripts to interface with databases and support ETL operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate REST APIs and microservices
- Work closely with financial and accounting stakeholders to support data-driven processes
- Ensure best practices in database development and application performance
- Participate in code reviews unit testing and troubleshooting efforts
- Oil & Gas industry experience is required
- Strong expertise in SQL Server and Oracle database development
- Experience in or exposure to financial/accounting domains
- Hands-on experience with Python for database and ETL scripting
- Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices is a plus
- Prior experience with the IDEAS Accounting System is a significant advantage
- Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite per week)
- Cloud-based ETL tools such as Informatica Snowflake or Databricks
- Big data platforms including Hadoop HDFS AWS Azure or Google Cloud
