A well-established engineering and environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager to support their expanding operations across the mid-Atlantic region. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering professional who is passionate about geotechnical analysis project leadership and delivering high-quality results for a diverse client base.
This role will be based in either the Doylestown or Pittsburgh PA office with flexibility for a hybrid work-from-home arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:Lead geotechnical investigations and provide engineering recommendations for a variety of projects including infrastructure commercial and environmental developments.
Conduct geotechnical analyses such as bearing capacity evaluations slope stability assessments and slip repair recommendations.
Oversee and mentor project teams managing technical staff subcontractors and ensuring quality control of all deliverables.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
Prepare geotechnical reports drawings specifications and technical proposals.
Interpret geotechnical instrumentation data and provide expert insights for field and office-based activities.
Collaborate with internal engineering environmental and regulatory teams to support integrated project execution.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or related field).
Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Geotechnical Engineer license in PA NJ or MD (required).
Minimum of 8 10 years of geotechnical engineering and consulting experience.
Proven project management experience including client interaction budgeting and scheduling.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor project teams.
Experience with geotechnical instrumentation and data interpretation.
Proposal development and business development experience.
Familiarity with industry-standard software (e.g. GeoStudio gINT PLAXIS etc.).
Working knowledge of local and regional geotechnical and environmental regulations.
