Job Description

Roles/Responsibilities:

  1. Build required orders order sets order rules and inpatient related configuration as a working member of the Health IT Orders team - with a dedicated focus on client requests and CalAIM
  2. Review and troubleshoot user incidents and requests related to inpatient security or regulatory needs with a dedicated focus on client
  3. Collaborate with other application team members on ensuring reporting attestation and workflow design is appropriate and working within client for the purpose of CalAIM JI project
  4. Work directly with client stakeholders and end users to address and resolve issues specific to CalAIM JI configuration/changes directed from client

Mandatory Skills:

  1. 2 to 10 years of experience working with Epic Orders and or other Epic Inpatient modules
  2. 2 to 10 years of Tier 2 direct build support of physicians and nursing in a healthcare system working with Epic
  3. Experience of full lifecycle implementation support for an Epic application/system
  4. Maintained Epic certification in Orders at minimum
  5. Experience with employing Service and Change Management standards in a healthcare IT setting (e.g. via ServiceNow Salesforce)
  6. Qualifications:
  1. Ability to identify analyze and recommend improvements and enhancements to operational processes system automation and information flows to ensure greater integration of functions within the organization.
  2. Coordinate security workgroups ensure integrity of the systems security infrastructure and provision security for users.
  3. Serve as the first point of contact for users customers and vendors on EHR-related issues; troubleshoot problems and respond to inquiries.
  4. Support assigned interfaces and ensure interfaces meet the needs of end users. Perform a variety of analytical duties in the design implementation and maintenance of EHR information systems or applications.
  5. Implement testing requirements and process facilitate end user testing hardware testing and maintain test environments.
  6. Participate in the evaluation of new application releases test new applications and system upgrades.
  7. Install or upgrade software applications; and troubleshoot software and application related problems.
  8. Interact with end users and vendors on project design issues and work to resolve vendor production support issues
  1. Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
  1. Knowledge:
  1. Epic software applications.
  2. Design implementation testing updating maintenance evaluation and analysis of system configuration system setup and application tables.
  3. Clinical applications and regulatory standards a wide range of application functionality content and associated workflows.
  4. Customer service principles.
  5. Policies procedures and business operations.
  6. Principles and procedures in project management and project management methodologies.
  7. ServiceNow or similar ITSM system vendor support experience
  1. Skill/Ability to:
  1. Interact with and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  2. Learn and retain knowledge of all assigned applications.
  3. Troubleshoot application issues and system errors.
  4. Multi-task complex work assignments.
  5. Follow standards for naming and number conventions and security classifications.
  6. Configure implement maintain and evaluate Epic applications and platform.
  7. Design modify and implement testing process.
  8. Create security classification templates.
  9. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  10. Prioritize effectively and manage time efficiently.
  11. Lead meetings and resolve conflicts.
  12. Understand ITSM and Change Management policy for Health IT
