Job Description
Were seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist to provide weekend and holiday onsite psychiatric services at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center under a long-term federal healthcare contract. This role is ideal for professionals committed to serving our nations veterans with high-quality behavioral health care.

Specific shift hours TBD by VA (standard 8-hour shifts assumed unless otherwise noted)

5-Year Contract Duration (Oct 1 2025 Sep 30 2030)

Deliver psychiatric evaluations and interventions in accordance with VA protocols and federal standards
-
Provide care to veterans in inpatient outpatient or consult-liaison settings
-
Support crisis intervention and medication management as required

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to treatment planning

Maintain accurate documentation in VA EHR systems
-
Comply with HIPAA Joint Commission and VAMC behavioral health standards

Participate in performance improvement clinical audits and peer reviews

MD or DO in Psychiatry
-
Board Certification or Eligibility (American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology)

Active and unrestricted state medical license

DEA Registration

AHA BLS and ACLS Certification
