Schedule: Flexible during client business hours (Brisbane AU time)

Job Summary
The Finance General Assistant is essential to supporting day-to-day financial operations ensuring accuracy compliance and efficiency in all financial processes. This role involves close collaboration with the Finance Team and other stakeholders to provide high-quality administrative and financial support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile bank statements credit card transactions and client accounts in a timely manner.

  • Maintain and update financial records registers and databases to support current and future reporting needs.

  • Prepare and distribute routine financial reports including zero balance and outstanding items reports.

  • Manage the finance inbox respond to internal and external finance queries and provide assistance to stakeholders.

  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely resolution.

  • Participate in reviewing and updating administrative systems and processes to enhance service delivery.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports such as income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements.

  • Process accounts payable and receivable including invoice verification payment runs and reconciliation if required.

  • Provide coverage and support for senior finance roles as required.


Qualifications:
  • Certificate Diploma or Degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 1 2 years experience in a finance bookkeeping or accounts administration role.

  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.

  • Experience working in Australian finance environments (desirable but not essential).
