You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailPeraton is seeking a Senior Open Shift / MuleSoft Engineer (Engineer) to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals on our Department of State (DOS) Bureau Consular Affairs Enterprise Infrastructure Operations (CAEIO) Program. The CAEIO Program provides IT Operations and Maintenance to modernize the legacy networks applications and databases supporting Consular Affairs (CA) services globally.
The Engineer will be a member of the Applications Support team responsible for providing support services related to the installation and deployment of CA applications. This senior-level role requires strong leadership hands-on technical skills and deep expertise in container orchestration integration platforms automation and production support.
Key responsibilities include deploying and supporting critical applications on OpenShift automating processes with AAP managing MuleSoft APIs and working with Service Mesh technologies to manage microservices traffic security and observability. The position requires after-hours business support and a professional team-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
Core Work Schedule: Monday Friday 7:00 AM ET - 3:30 PM ET (Flexible).
Location: This position is hybrid with remote work and one day per week in the office in Sterling VA. The number of days the Engineer works onsite is subject to change based on government/program requirements (for example surge support might require the individual to be in the office more than two days per week).
This position is hybrid after the Engineer completes a 4-6-week onsite New Hire Training Program during which the Engineer will work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM in Sterling VA. After completing the training program the Engineer will work their assigned schedule.
