JOB DETAILS

JOB BAND: C
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent Full-time
DEPARTMENT: BBC Music HQ
LOCATION: London Broadcasting House
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: 35k- 45k depending on relevant skills knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

This role will be internally mapped as Business Coordinator.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

BBC Music is home to the UKs most-loved music radio stations Radios 1 2 and 3 6 Music 1Xtra and Asian Network iconic TV shows like Later with Jools Holland and hit podcasts including Sidetracked and The Rise and Fall of Oasis. From Glastonbury to The Proms we bring the worlds biggest music events to life. Whether its live on-demand or behind the scenes BBC Music is where it all happens.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

  • Communicate clearly and professionally maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • Manage a high-volume fast-paced diary balancing shifting priorities to maximise time.
  • Anticipate needs resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure forward planning is efficient and effective.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders aligning diary demands with business priorities.
  • Support live broadcast environments by staying calm under pressure and prioritising tasks quickly.
  • Provide proactive solutions-focused support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Represent the team with professionalism approachability and a can-do attitude - delivering and managing travel and accommodation plans for the team organising and running meetings and presentations both in person and virtually and drafting the monthly newsletter and raising payments

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Proven experience managing a high-volume fast-paced diary for a senior leader.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs resolve scheduling conflicts and plan ahead effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track record of handling confidential information professionally.
  • Experience working in high-pressure environments with strong prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Confident in liaising with senior internal and external stakeholders aligning diary priorities with business needs.
