What youll do:
Position Title: SAP iXp Intern SAP Concur Software Developer
Location:Vancouver BC
Expected start date:September 1 2025
Contract Duration: 8 months
Work hours: 40 hours/week
Build web apps and cloud services in a microservice architecture.
Understand improve and make correct changes to code used by customers
Scale and improve software systems spanning multiple teams
Debug and understand the root cause of problems
Problem solve with a team of experienced engineers
Improve your technical architecture leadership presentation and teamwork skills
Own services end-to-end including developing code test automation devops troubleshooting and resolving production problems
What you bring:
You challenge the status quo and like to stay curious. You love working on meaningful projects and are energized by lifelong learning
Education: Must be currently enrolled or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp apprenticeship associates bachelors masters or JD/PhD program
Knowledge of the following:
- Golang JavaScript TypeScript React/Redux GraphQL Java Kotlin Python C# (.NET) concurrent programming (coroutines actors threads processes)
- Linux shell scripting Git SRE/Devops Docker containers AWS Kubernetes Ansible continuous/frequent deployments zero-downtime techniques
- SQL databases (MS SQL Server MySQL Postgres) NoSQL data stores (Redis Memcache DynamoDB MongoDB)
- Web application architecture: TCP/IP networking (HTTP Websocket load balancing) AJAX encryption (SSL/TLS JWT) cyber security (XSS CSRF) CDNs (Akamai CloudFront) performance monitoring (Elasticsearch Kibana NewRelic)
- Git source control
- Test automation (unit integration end-to-end)

As a Software Developer Intern on the Concur Platform Engineering team in Vancouver Canada you will be taking on Concur App Center to the next level: scaling the architecture while building new elastically scalable microservices. You will have an opportunity to work across the full stack from UI clients server applications and data stores to delivery pipelines and infrastructure
