Since 1852 under the direction of the Basilian Fathers St. Michaels College School has been educating young men in goodness discipline and knowledge for lives of leadership and service and forming them in faith to present the face of Jesus Christ to a world in need of his grace and his peace.
We are Canadas only Catholic Basilian faith-based independent school. We educate young men from Grades 7 to 12 in a university-preparatory programme. Position Available:
St. Michaels College School welcomes teacher applicants with the following qualifications abilities and experience:
Intermediate Division with qualifications in English
Honours Specialist - English is an asset
Member in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
Additional qualifications are deemed assets including Religious Education Part 1
Willingness to uphold the teachings and values of the Catholic faith and provide a letter from your parish priest confirming that you are a practicing Catholic
Working knowledge of the Ontario curriculum specifically with Growing Success
Ability to foster a caring and professional rapport with students faculty staff parents and guardians
Ability to promote collaboration by leveraging technology with platforms such as Zoom MS O365 recording video lessons using screen capture software etc.
Training and experience with inquiry-based and problem-based learning is an asset
Willingness to participate in the schools co-curricular programme including coaching and/or as a moderator in co-curricular activities
Reports to: Principal
Rate of Pay: As per the SMCSTA Collective Agreement.
2025-26 A4 range: Level 0 $77632.99 to Level 10 $136053.58
