Job Description
We are looking to expand our team in Napier and have a vacancy for an Engineer Surveyor with experience in Pressure Equipment and/or Crane Inspections.
In this role you will carry out hands on statutory inspections ensuring our clients comply with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with a diverse and interesting range of clients across the Hawkes Bay - no two days will be the same
- Manage your own diary to undertake statutory and regulatory inspection of boilers pressure vessels lifting equipment and cranes in accordance with NZ Regulations and Standards
- Identify and assist in developing and securing new business opportunities
- Provide training and mentoring to trainees when qualified to do so
Qualifications :
- Certification Board for Inspection Personnel (CBIP) Qualifications in a relevant discipline is preferred
- Certified Welding Inspection qualification
- Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- A full NZ drivers licence
Knowledge and Experience
- Experience inspecting all types of plant and equipment including pressure vessels boilers lifting equipment and cranes
- A strong team player someone who enjoys working in a friendly and supportive environment to deliver a high level of service to our clients
- The ability to establish and maintain effective relationship with our clients and gain their trust and respect
- Excellent time management skills with ability to organise your own diary and interact with clients.
- The ability to write technical reports and meet reporting deadlines
