Job Description

This role is responsible for developing and/or implementing the corporate compliance programs across India and sub-continent coordinating with others where necessary. The incumbent Works to adapt / implement corporate policies and procedures develop and provide relevant training for employees and third parties on compliance related topics.  Will play a key role in Providing compliance guidance advice and support to Allergan Aesthetics India.  Conducts compliance due diligence reviews of third parties and compliance vetting of specific transactions.  Engages in risk assessment exercises and business projects to ensure compliance requirements are met.  Helps identify monitoring needs and perform monitoring activities to minimize compliance risks.  Conducts reviews and investigations on specific compliance addition the post holder will implement the corporate ethics program in the India and sub-continent adapting the program where necessary and providing ethics training and support

  1. Compliance Policies and procedures

 

  • Create and establish appropriate India policies procedures and standards to mitigate compliance risk within India Limited.  Establish and maintain the training matrix for India and monitor training completed.
  • Provide guidance and support in AA India on national industry codes and regional/international industry codes government regulations including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other initiatives sponsored by the Office of Ethics & Compliance.
  • Continue to enhance a best-in-class compliance program in partnership with the Compliance Steering Committee (CSC) to support AA business in India.
  • Work closely with the regional international compliance representatives India leadership team and functional leadership teams to understand the risk environment and implement adequate compliance policies procedures and standards across the business.
  • Provide feedback and monitoring data to the India Leadership and functional leadership teams with advice on best practice
  • Implement manages and interprets policies procedures and practices across all functions at each affiliate
  • Provide guidance on AAs compliance expectations and review both internal and third party controls and standards and work with relevant teams to resolve any issues.

  • Compliance Training & monitoring program
  • Develop and provide relevant engaging and interactive compliance training for AbbVie employees and with AbbVie business partners employees or agents as appropriate.
  • Ensure training materials are effectively and accurately communicated to employees or agents.  Update business divisions and other support functions as appropriate on relevant compliance news alerts and other developments.
  • Support and implement the compliance monitoring program across India and sub-continent with the focus on prevention of compliance issues and appropriate risk management.  Perform monitoring awareness and education activities across the company.

  • Managing compliance deviations escalating matters appropriately to Regional and International Compliance
  • Conduct adhoc investigations into potential compliance issues as agreed with Regional and International Compliance 
  • Prepare and maintain regular progress reports and updates on compliance reviews for India management
  • Identify gaps and pitfalls within current compliance controls to ensure those issues could be resolved or mitigated to prevent potential misconduct.
  • Organise India Compliance Committee meetings for the Country Manager to Chair

Qualifications :

job QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):

Education and Experience

  • University degree or equivalent (scientific business or legal)
  • At least 10-14 years of relevant experience in compliance & ethics function.
  • Candidate with exposure in pharmaceutical health care or related industries would be preferred
  • Relevant experience working in a compliance role establishing and running compliance programs
  • Project management skills
  • Good analytical skills

  • Should intake customer complaints collect as much information as possible and then forward to Quality Assurance department without fail
