Job Description
What will you be doing
Were looking for a skilled Package Engineer to support the delivery of a high-profile chemical processing facility. This role sits at the intersection of engineering design supplier management and cross-functional coordination ensuring critical equipment packages are delivered on time on budget and fully aligned with the overall plant design.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Specialist Equipment Oversight: Manage detailed technical requirements for key process equipment such as fluidised beds dryers calciners and granulators.
- Integrated Design: Ensure packages are designed for full compatibility with the wider facility covering structural electrical control and containment systems.
- Vendor & Risk Management: Work closely with suppliers to flag technical risks early ensuring smooth handovers and preventing delivery delays.
- Standards & Compliance: Ensure all packages meet internal engineering standards safety regulations and environmental requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Support factory testing (FATs) lead inspections and drive quality compliance across package procurement and delivery.
- Procurement Support: Assist with technical bid reviews and supplier negotiations to ensure best-value technically viable solutions.
- Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain clear records coordinate across engineering procurement and construction teams and ensure accurate as-built documentation.
- Sustainability Focus: Help identify and implement low-energy low-emission solutions that align with long-term environmental goals.
- Lifecycle Thinking: Factor in maintainability and operational reliability during design and procurement phases.
Who are we looking for
- Proven experience delivering complex equipment packages on large-scale process or manufacturing projects.
- A solid engineering background mechanical process or systems engineering preferred.
- A strong grasp of multi-disciplinary integration particularly electrical and automation interfaces.

Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Experience managing supplier performance FATs and quality documentation
- Clear communication skills and the ability to operate confidently across engineering procurement and construction teams.
- A proactive mindset for risk management and continuous improvement.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering Chemical Engineering Process Engineering or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g. ASME ISO) and industry codes of practice.
