Network Operations / Architect Lead
Location Krakow / Remote within Poland

The Network Operations/Architect Lead ensures delivery of a high quality service aligned with business expectations whilst working with the Head of Network to consider future requirements and the ongoing evolution of the service. The role encompasses subject matter expertise and leadership in ensuring operational excellence.
You will:
- Ensure service availability and capacity is delivered to targets and schedule
- Be responsible for delivery of effective operational services spanning the current scope of the network
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the delivery of services meets expectations
- Assist to ensure new services transition into operation in a controlled manner
- Establish standards procedures and policies appropriately aligned with industry best practice
- Manager lead and development of the Network Teams
- Help to identify and manage risks within the network service and collaborates with the GRC function to ensure appropriate visibility
- Work with the Service Owner to maintain FinOps rigor to ensure service costs are managed tightly and to stakeholder expectations
- Drive technical decisions relating to the operational stability of the network
- Demonstrate leadership qualities to guide IT colleagues and partners while adhering to policies standards and procedures
- Provide technical expertise and acts as a trusted advisor within the business influencing decisions
- Acts as a role model within the team setting a positive example both inside the direct team and across I&T. Identifies and develops talent within the team
- Support projects with architectural input and solution design support as needed
- Coordinate demand and resource alongside PMO teams to manage a cost effective resourcing model which supports change agenda whilst ensuring BAU tasks and services are not impacted
- Advise the Head of Networks as a technical leader for network technology roadmap. Ensure business needs continue to be met whilst taking into account end of service dates
- Ensure fit-for-purpose processes and standards for client services delivery working within company standards and IT governance framework
- Manage an operational cadence backed with data and dashboards supporting informed service quality measurement
You have:
- 10 years of experience in Network Operations / Architecture
- Experience in leading teams would be beneficial
- Experience in stakeholder and vendor management
- Possess strong interpersonal and influencing skills with good stakeholder engagement
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Experience in large multi-national cross-functional teams influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization
- Able to manage delivery of objectives in line with agreed time scales
- Display a strong customer focus background understanding the business needs and good business judgement
- Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements
- Strong corporate network skills to include Data Centre AWS Cloud Services Enterprise networking WAN/LAN/WLAN Routing Firewall Certificates IDS/IPS WAN optimisation Proxy VPN services Load Balancing
- Strong AWS networking and security skills to include VPC EC2 Firewall Security Groups Route 53 Load Balancers Private Link Amazon Gateways
- AWS Certified Practitioner Solution Architect Associate or Professional
- Bachelor degree in computer science information systems business administration or related field or equivalent work experience in IT and business/industry nice to have
- Be up to date with the latest technologies and IT trends
- Fluency in English is a must
