Job Description
Your Tasks
- Support our Data Analysts Data Engineers and Data Scientists in the development operation and enhancement of cloud-based data platforms using GCP (BigQuery Dataflow Dataform Vertex AI).
- Develop and maintain reusable infrastructure components (e.g. Terraform modules) establish coding and architectural standards and promote harmonization across our product teams.
- Serve as the main contact for all infrastructure-related topics in data-driven projects and assist the teams in automation and the efficient use of Terraform.
- Establish best practices for monitoring alerting and security within the cloud environment to ensure stable platform operations.
- Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements and support teams in their implementation.
- Actively contribute to knowledge sharing and collaboration within the Data & Analytics area at MediaMarkt Saturn.
- Harmonize and develop sustainable CICD pipelines for data processing services
Your Profile
- Several years of experience with Google Cloud Platform especially with BigQuery Dataflow Dataform and Vertex AI.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code preferably with Terraform.
- Strong experience in GitOps practice
- Experience building and operating scalable reliable data platforms in the cloud.
- Expertise in monitoring alerting (like Grafana Prometheus) and cloud security (ideally with tools and frameworks commonly used at MMS.)
- You are a team player able to establish and communicate standards across teams.
- Analytical thinking initiative and a solution-oriented working style.
- Experience with CI/CD tools in the cloud environment (e.g. GitLab CI Jenkins Cloud Build).
- Experience with VPC and basic networking infrastructure
