Lead with Vision and Precision in Cybersecurity! Join our dynamic team as a leader who inspires and drives excellence in cybersecurity investigations. Your role will blend managerial expertise with hands-on technical skills steering high-priority projects that fortify our digital defenses and enhance our teams agility and effectiveness.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and Manage High Priority investigations with the Equitable Security Operations Center Detection team
  • Primarily responsible for ensuring that security events and alerts are triaged and responded to with a high degree of efficiency accuracy and professionalism to include contribution of analysis
  • Ensure compliance to SLA process adherence and process development to achieve operational objectives
  • Develop and facilitate assessment and training programs for SOC Analysts
  • Coordinate detection activities during cyber events
  • Provide direction technical support and expert technical support to SOC Analysts
  • Provide guidance and direction concerning preparations necessary to aid in the prevention and early detection of cyber events and monitor and respond to cyber-attacks
  • Facilitate development approvals and annual reviews of SOC triage playbooks and provide guidance and feedback
  • Coordinate Red Team/Blue Team Wargames and other cybersecurity exercises
  • SOC Reporting and Metrics
  • Lead small to medium size Cybersecurity projects

Location and In Office Schedule: This role can work in the Syracuse NY or Charlotte NC office on a hybrid schedule of working in the office two days per weekORthis role can work fully remote.


The base salary range for this position is $125000-$140000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills experience and geographical addition to base pay Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases spot bonuses and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.

Coaching Others: Knowledge of coaching and mentoring concepts and methods; ability to encourage motivate and guide individuals in learning and improving effectiveness.

Information Security Management: Knowledge of the processes tools and techniques of information security management; ability to deploy and monitor information security systems while detecting controlling and preventing violations of IT security.

IT Governance: Knowledge of the accountability framework and processes used to encourage proper behavior in IT activities and operations; ability to implement IT systems and controls to meet business needs and requirements.

Results Orientation: Knowledge of the importance of meeting or exceeding established targets; ability to drive critical activities to completion.
