- Technical Knowledge of Train Control Systems
Requirement: In-depth understanding of train control systems including signaling train protection and communication systems.
Skills: Proficiency in engineering principles related to railway signaling control technologies and safety standards.
- Network Design and Implementation Experience
Requirement: Experience in designing implementing and maintaining network infrastructure for train control systems.
Skills: Expertise in network architecture protocols (e.g. TCP/IP Ethernet) and experience with various communication technologies (e.g. GSM-R LTE).
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills
Requirement: Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and optimize system performance.
Skills: Strong analytical skills to diagnose problems coupled with creative problem-solving abilities to implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of Regulatory Standards and Compliance
Requirement: Familiarity with industry regulations safety standards and compliance requirements related to train control systems.
Skills: Knowledge of relevant standards such as IEC 61375 EN 50126 EN 50128 and EN 50129 as well as experience in conducting risk assessments.
- Collaboration and Communication Skills
Requirement: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with engineers project managers and clients.
- Requirements Management Competency
Requirement: Proficiency in requirements management tools and methodologies for documenting and tracking system requirements.
Skills: Experience with tools such as DOORS and familiarity with system modeling tools (e.g. SysML UML) to analyze and validate requirements. - Managing the design planning and the achievement of the Design/Verification reviews in all step of the Design For Quality cycle
- Delivering all TC & IS Engineering outputs including network configuration project summary document ICD IP addressing plan compliance with the Engineering Quality Cost Delay commitments.
- Managing interface and ensure follow up of sub-systems (electrical components PACIS CCTV Multimedia TCMS)
- Ensuring standardization and maximize the carry over with previous project
- Supporting Industrial and Manufacturing areas during First Train Assembly
- Supporting Commissioning and Validation area during First Train tests
Accountable for :
- Formulating a design solution that fulfils the specified customer requirements by defining the architecture and performances of the TCIS subsystems and functional studies he/she is responsible for maximizing the re-use of service-proven design patterns
- Preparation of Customer Documentation on system description around TCMS product train-2-wayside
- Contributing to the return of experiences on his/her domain
Knowledge & Experience
- Experience of 12 - 15 years in Control engineering & system engineering.
- Rolling stock functional engineer experiences on several train functions
- Work package and Team management experiences
- Hands-on electrical and schematic design activity
- Hands-on experience in design & development of model based control systems using application tools like Control Build Matlab / Simulink Matrix or similar tools Wireshark VB Python
- Knowledge of network topologies and interfaces for Serial Ethernet MVB and other industrial communication network.
- Communication abilities
