Job Description
Universal Payments Framework (UPF) Developer - Australia/India
We are seeking a skilled Universal Payments Framework (UPF) Developer to join our payments engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with UP Framework configuration particularly in payment orchestration endpoint creation and integration with external systems such as Payment Risk Management (PRM) platforms.
Youll work as part of a collaborative and agile team supporting enterprise-grade payment processing solutions. Strong knowledge of messaging queues (MQs) and the ability to align with DevOps and testing frameworks is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and manage UP Framework components including:
- Endpoint creation
- Payment orchestration logic
- Integration with third-party systems (e.g. PRM)
- Collaborate with architecture and testing teams to ensure seamless integration and system performance
- Work with messaging queues (e.g. IBM MQ) for payment and message routing
- Contribute to and align with existing testing frameworks
- Follow established DevOps practices for build deployment and CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing support for payment processing environments
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Universal Payments Framework (UPF) configuration and deployment
- Proven experience in payment orchestration and endpoint setup
- Solid understanding of message queues (MQs) such as IBM MQ or similar
- Ability to work with existing testing frameworks and adapt test cases accordingly
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices including CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Experience in account-to-account (A2A) payment processing environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to financial services or banking domain
- Understanding of ISO 20022 SWIFT or real-time payments infrastructure
- Experience working with integration hubs or middleware platforms
