Headquartered in Dublin California we help clients modernize enterprise applications through innovative cloud migration automation and managed service solutions.
We are seeking an experienced Oracle WebCenter Administrator to lead the migration of our on-premises WebCenter environment (version 12.x) with a SQL Server backend to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) with Oracle Database. The role also includes upgrading WebCenter to version 14 or the latest supported release ensuring high availability performance and compliance throughout the transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Migration Planning & Execution
- Design and implement a migration strategy from on-prem WebCenter (SQL Server backend) to OCI with Oracle Database.
- Migrate WebCenter components including DOMAINHOME ORACLEHOME and WCSSHARED directories.
- Upgrade & Configuration
- Upgrade WebCenter from version 12.x to 14.x or latest including patching and compatibility validation.
- Reconfigure WebCenter Sites Content and Portal components post-upgrade.
- Update JDBC connections bootstrap credentials and hostname references.
- Security & Compliance
- Integrate with enterprise identity providers (OID AD SAML).
- Manage SSL certificates and ensure secure access to WebCenter applications.
- Maintain audit trails and ensure HIPAA/SOC2 compliance.
- Performance & Monitoring
- Tune JVM WebLogic and database performance.
- Monitor system health and automate alerts using OCI tools and third-party solutions.
- OCI Deployment & Optimization (Optional)
- Provision and configure OCI resources (Compute Storage Networking).
- Deploy Oracle Database (Autonomous or VM-based) and ensure secure connectivity.
- Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies across OCI regions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of experience administering Oracle WebCenter Sites/Content/Portal.
- Proven experience migrating WebCenter from on-prem to OCI.
- Proven experience in configuring the webcenter components
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database (19c or later) and SQL Server.
- Experience with WebLogic Server Oracle HTTP Server and Fusion Middleware.
- Familiarity with OCI services: Compute Autonomous DB Object Storage Load Balancer.
- Understanding of SSO LDAP and certificate management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
- Experience with Repository Creation Utility (RCU) and Oracle Identity Management.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with Oracle Access Manager (OAM) Oracle Internet Directory (OID).
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or OCI Architect certification.
