Paint Prepper/ Helper Responsibilities

  • Wash clean and wipe down vehicles to be painted.
  • Prime block and sand parts of vehicle prior to the painting process
  • Mask paper or grease components when appropriate.
  • Use basic hand tools and other small power tools associated with equipment and prep work prior to painting operations.
  • Maintain condition of vehicle or component through the entire paint process.
  • Train and work in various areas of production in response to production demands.
  • Identification safe handling and appropriate disposal of materials.
  • Attention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations.
  • Responsible for and trained to understand waste hazards storage time limits satellite accumulation marking labeling weekly inspections aisle space storage manifest shipping use and location of emergency equipment response to spills and fires evacuation routes etc.
  • Communicate with teammates and head painter for additional job responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Previous experience at a Collision Center in Paint Department
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate equipment to perform painting functions
  • Basic computer competencies
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively
  • Ability to learn new technology repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check
