Overview:

The DSI Technician III assists with the safe and efficient operation of the stations dry sorbent injection systems at a fossil fuel power plant. This is an entry level developmental position which receives technical guidance training and assignments from higher level technicians and supervisors.

Responsibilities:

• Move and switch railcars for unloading facility
• Operation of Trackmobile
• Unloading of railcars
• Maintenance and upkeep of entire DSI system

• Preventive Maintenance of all equipment
• Use of overhead crane
• Unloading of trucks and other deliveries

• Assisting other departments as needed
• General housekeeping (hosing sweeping and shoveling)
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out Operations along with operating 480 volt breakers
• Use of forklift and scissor lift

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Preferred- Associates Degree related to power plants or other relevant industry technical degree or relevant military experience.
• Possess a valid drivers license.
• Preferred-Possess an understanding of complex mechanical electrical and thermal processes.
• Preferred-The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating procedures and maintenance instruments manuals.
• The ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions while exposed to heat cold operating machinery energized wires loud noise dust grease oil and fumes.
• Ability to interact with co-workers and all levels of management in a professional manner.
• Must be able to frequently climb stairs; climb ladders to and work from elevated platforms and walkways at elevations of 75 feet or more.
• Candidates must successfully complete/pass a POSS/MASS test
