Job Description:
We are currently looking for a highly developed Analog Engineering Support Technician to assist with development of new and expansion of existing Analog products e.g. Power Supplies Filters Sensor Circuits Motor Drivers and related testing equipment. The selected individual will support engineering in the design test verification and documentation of Power Supplies Filters Sensor Circuits Motor Drivers etc. Tasks include the construction of prototype hardware assemblies test and verification of new and modified Analog hardware development of build and test plans and procedures and troubleshooting. This individual may also troubleshoot repair and perform preventative maintenance on deployed test equipment within engineering laboratories and in production areas. As a member of the L3Harris Space and Sensors Analog Team you will have the opportunity to work on programs for the Space Industry to support launch vehicles payloads and exploration missions as well as potentially supporting Infrared products for the Department of Defense.
Essential Functions:
Complete assigned tasks within allotted schedules and budgets.
Required skills include troubleshooting down to the component level strong planning/organizational skillswith ability to prioritize and a solid understanding and working knowledge of Analog test equipment such as Oscilloscopes vector signal generators spectrum analyzers multimeters and power meters.
Mustbe familiar with performing various Analog Testing including impedance loop stability efficiency phase and gain etc.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft office i.e. Excel Access etc.
Ability to use internet to research new parts find datasheets verify part number and part descriptions new tool requirements finding replacements for obsolete parts etc.
Provide weekly status on all assigned tasks.
Provide timely inputs for new project estimations. (As requested)
Support all areas of Engineering and production as required. (Test set assembly Support Design and Special Projects)
Assemble document and verify test equipment test cables and circuit card assemblies.
Validate and verify test software as required.
Read and interpret schematics drawings technical data sheets and test plans.
Troubleshoot analog circuits using the afore mentioned test equipment as well as more commonly used test equipment such as power supplies multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
Build prototype/breadboard electronic circuit boards.
Generate reports spreadsheets parts lists schematics and block diagrams.
Using hand and power tools for drilling cutting filing and assembly.
Physical Demands: standing sitting crouching/kneeling soldering working with microscopes working with hand/power tools etc.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree from an accredited two-year technical school or Military School equivalent is required.
4 years of experience directly related in electronics assembly test and repair.
Prior experience in engineering and manufacturing environment.
Experience in the aerospace industry is highly encouraged but not required.
Experience with Labview or National Instruments Test Stand is highly applicable.
Experience with fabrication of electrical test boxes.
Experience with soldering and soldering standards.
