British American Tobacco United Kingdom has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Finance Manager New Categories in Southampton until December 2026

This position is responsible for the AME Region. The jobholder works in partnership with Global team AME Regional team DRBU finance and factories to:

  • Translate strategies into plans and budgets providing commercial insights relating to future performance.
  • Manage and coordinate the provision of structured and insightful analysis of financial and non-financial data in order to influence and enable strategic financial decisions.
  • Europe key contact for New Categories COS queries from all stakeholder savings delivery.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to global and regional business cases ensuring clear understanding and tracking of budgets benefits and risks.
  • Partner with end markets DRBU and Regional stakeholders on New Categories Cost of Sales.
  • Provide monthly analysis and insights on actuals and forecasts for New Categories Cost of Sales across the region.
  • Design and embed a robust regional reporting process for New Categories Cost of Sales aligned with global standards.
  • Monitor changes in New Categories forecasts assess financial impacts on Operations and track monthly savings.
  • Understand and benchmark New Categories business models cost structures and financial flows across the region.

What are we looking for

  • Professionally qualified accountant (CIMA ACCA or ACA) with strong technical expertise.
  • Proficient in financial systems and tools particularly SAP and BPC with hands-on experience in COS reporting and analysis.
  • Solid financial modeling skills and deep understanding of planning and reporting processes.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of senior management and across the organization.
  • Proven track record to collaborate cross-functionally with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Broad business acumen with awareness of how finance interfaces with other functions.
