Job Summary:The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation maintenance and lifecycle management of the airports mobile equipment fleet including airside and landside vehicles. This leadership role manages the fleet maintenance shop supervises staff and mechanics ensures regulatory compliance and implements best practices for vehicle reliability safety and cost-efficiency. The Fleet Manager will coordinate with airport departments to support operational needs monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement across all aspects of fleet operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Directs and supervises day-to-day operations of the fleet maintenance shop and assigned personnel.
- Manages the airports diverse fleet of vehicles and mobile equipment including snow removal equipment fire apparatus operations vehicles and support vehicles.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable federal state and local regulations including FAA OSHA and DOT requirements.
- Develops and manages preventative maintenance programs and ensure timely repairs to maximize equipment availability and reliability.
- Monitors fleet budgets control costs and oversees vehicles parts and services.
- Maintains accurate fleet records maintenance schedules and inventory systems.
- Coordinates with airport operations maintenance public safety and other departments to meet operational readiness standards.
- Leads staff training performance evaluation and professional development efforts within the fleet team.
- Ensures Training and Safety Compliance. Implement training programs to maintain staff certifications and ensure compliance with airport safety and environmental standards.
- Follows all safety regulations.
- Maintains regular and on-time attendance.
- Supports MNAAs commitment to its culture and values including Respect Integrity Service and Excellence (RISE).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Logistics Transportation Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4-7 years of experience managing vehicle or equipment fleets preferably in an airport transportation or logistics environment
- Valid Class D Drivers License
Preferred:
- 2-4 years strong knowledge of FAA Part 139 OSHA DOT and EPA regulations
- 4-7 years proficiency in fleet management systems (e.g. SAMSARA FleetFocus AssetWorks or similar platforms)
- Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
