Our client a fast-growing IT and communications company is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented System Administrator to join their expanding team. If youre someone who thrives on managing servers fine-tuning network performance and ensuring high system availability this role could be your perfect match!
What Youll Do:
As a System Administrator youll take ownership of the companys core IT infrastructurefrom maintaining servers and network systems to implementing secure scalable solutions. Youll monitor performance manage virtualization environments and troubleshoot complex issues to keep operations running smoothly. Youll also work closely with cybersecurity networking and development teams to deliver reliable high-availability systems that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Install configure and maintain servers (Windows/Linux) and network infrastructure.
Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Administer and support Office 365 Active Directory Exchange and other enterprise tools.
Maintain security through access controls backups and firewalls.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
Manage virtualization environments (e.g. VMware Hyper-V Proxmox).
Maintain system documentation and configuration management tools.
Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
Set up monitoring tools (e.g. Zabbix Grafana PRTG) and respond to alerts.
Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g. Veeam Acronis).
Collaborate with network cybersecurity and development teams on infrastructure projects.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related eld.
4-5 years of experience.
Proven experience as a System Administrator Network Administrator or similar role.
Strong knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
Hands-on experience with databases networks (LAN/WAN) and patch management.
Experience with scripting (e.g. PowerShell Bash Python) is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure AWS or GCP) is an advantage.
Relevant certications (e.g. MCSA MTCNA CompTIA Server VMware RHCSA) are desirable.
