Job Description

MRI Technologist (Permanent Role)

Location: Temple TX 76508
Shift: 10:00 AM - 11:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Essential Functions:
  • Perform high-quality MRI scans in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
  • Use AIDET communication to build rapport with patients and ensure comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Accurately identify patient needs verify exam orders and ensure correct exam execution.
  • Explain MRI procedures to patients and families addressing concerns and preparing them appropriately.
  • Position patients and operate MRI equipment to obtain quality images.
  • Follow infection control sterile technique and safety procedures to protect patients and staff.
  • Maintain and clean MRI equipment and work area to ensure optimal performance and hygiene.
  • Report equipment or operational issues to management or engineering teams promptly.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure room is stocked and organized.
  • Collaborate with physicians physicists and support staff to ensure imaging quality and patient care.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies providing first aid and operating emergency equipment as needed.

  • Excellent communication skills to ease patient anxiety and ensure cooperation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in high-pressure or emergency situations.
  • Commitment to professional conduct cleanliness and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to provide age-appropriate care for all patient populations.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards safety regulations and radiologic protocols.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Less than 1 year of MRI experience acceptable.

Licensure/Certifications (Required):

  • ARRT (MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • ARRT (R) Radiography
  • ARMRIT American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists
