Director of Installation and Service

Naperville IL Full-Time Onsite

About Client

Client is a leader in innovative technology solutions serving the commercial education and healthcare markets. We are seeking a Director of Installation and Service to lead our operations. This individual will be directly responsible for managing the Installation department and providing oversight for the Service department.

The Director will coordinate the installation of products and systems ensuring all work meets established quality standards and client requirements. They will directly supervise installation teams including union technicians project managers implementers and the Service department which is led by a dedicated Service Manager the Director will provide high-level guidance strategic support and ensure alignment with company goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Installation Operations: Oversee all day-to-day activities of the Installation Department ensuring projects are delivered on time within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Team Management & Development: Hire train and mentor a high-performing team including union technicians project managers implementers and coordinators. Promote a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Project Oversight: Manage multiple concurrent installation projects monitoring budgets timelines labor deployment and overall execution from planning through completion.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for installation clients-providing regular updates addressing concerns and ensuring exceptional customer experience.
  • Service Oversight: Collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure service delivery meets company and client expectations. Provide leadership in planning budgeting and performance evaluation.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce quality control standards and conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Budget & Financial Management: Develop and manage department budgets forecast labor and material costs and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
  • Process Improvement: Create and refine workflows policies and procedures that support growth service excellence and operational scalability.
  • Training & Compliance: Oversee the development and implementation of training programs to maintain technical standards safety compliance and team readiness.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to long-term planning and organizational leadership to align installation and service operations with overall company vision.

Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in installation project management operations leadership or a senior role in construction/technology deployment.
  • Experience leading union labor and subcontractors.
  • Strong background in managing multi-site projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets schedules and performance metrics.
  • Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on solution-oriented approach
  • Familiarity with commercial education and healthcare technology installations is a strong plus.
