Job Title: Clinical Psychologist
Location: WPAFB 88th Medical Group 4881 Sugar Maple Drive Wright Patterson AFB OH 45433
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday(variable 8-hour shifts between 0730 and 1900 up to two days per week)
Qualifications:

Education: Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited program

Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-doctoral clinical experience preferably with pediatric or developmental populations

Proficient in conducting assessments for autism spectrum disorder using tools like FEAS and CARS

Experience developing and delivering parent-mediated interventions (e.g. PLAY Project preferred)

License/Certification:
-
Valid unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in any U.S. state or territory

National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Must obtain P.L.A.Y. Project (Play and Language for Autistic Youngsters) certification within six months of hire

Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen
Responsibilities
-
Conduct diagnostic evaluations and clinical interviews for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental concerns
-
Administer and interpret standardized tools such as Functional Emotional Assessment Scale (FEAS); Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS); Greenspan Social-Emotional Growth Chart; Receptive-Expressive Emergent Language (REEL) Scale

Develop individualized intervention plans using the PLAY (Play and Language for Autistic Youngsters) model

Provide parent coaching education and therapeutic support using evidence-based developmental strategies

Collaborate with occupational therapists speech-language pathologists and social workers as part of a multidisciplinary team

Deliver services in person and via telehealth platforms; document encounters using secure digital systems

Prepare written and/or video-recorded progress reports for each child served

Travel for up to one week per month to remote military installations (TDY) to support PLAY service delivery

Participate in team meetings peer review and training to ensure clinical quality and fidelity to the PLAY model
