Location: Golden Valley MN
Job Type: Full-Time

About the Opportunity

Client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager with a strong background in trusts estates gift and complex individual tax returns to join our team in Golden Valley MN. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead tax engagements manage staff and build lasting client relationships all while working in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review complex individual trust estate and business tax returns with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Provide strategic tax planning and technical research support on complex issues.

  • Interpret and analyze estate planning documents and financial statements.

  • Develop manage and strengthen client relationships identifying needs and offering solutions.

  • Support business development through client meetings proposal preparation and quoting services.

  • Train supervise and mentor junior and senior staff accountants.

  • Oversee project timelines billing and follow-up on outstanding invoices.

  • Handle confidential financial data with discretion and professionalism.

  • Prepare internal memoranda written correspondence and IRS-related documentation.

  • Participate in firm-wide marketing initiatives and community engagement efforts.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.

  • 4 years of relevant experience in tax and accounting (family business or trust company setting).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Strong technical analytical and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in a CPA firm working with trusts estates gift and complex returns.

  • Experience using ProSystems Tax Preparation software or Access.

  • Active CPA license.

  • Customer service mindset with a proactive and reliable approach.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

  • Regular use of a keyboard and data entry systems.
