JOB TITLE: RF Test Technician
LOCATION: Oldsmar FL
PAY RATE: Up to $30/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Shift: 4/10 1st Shift (Monday Thursday 5:00 AM 3:30 PM EST)

  • Overtime: OT available on weekends

  • Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Set up test apparatus and conduct tests on electronic circuit card assemblies RF circuits and subassembly units following established methods procedures standards and sequences.

  • Lay out and assemble units for production electronic equipment based on design specifications.

  • Adjust and calibrate electronic assembly systems as needed.

  • Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions by adjusting or replacing components.

  • Use hand tools small power tools and various measuring/testing devices.

  • Determine required testing methods and suggest modifications to test equipment.

  • Analyze test results to evaluate product and equipment performance.

  • Assist engineers in designing and developing test procedures for new products.

  • Recommend product improvements or manufacturing modifications.

  • Monitor and verify quality using statistical process control or other methods.

  • Troubleshoot to the component level using schematic diagrams for analog and digital circuitry.

  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced production environment while supporting customer schedules.

  • Use various test equipment including:

    • Digital Multimeters

    • Oscilloscopes

    • Network Analyzers

    • Frequency Standards

    • Signal Generators

    • RF Power Meters

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Additional specialized technical training (such as a technical associate degree) or demonstrated ability to perform relevant technical tasks

  • Familiarity with radar systems

  • 1 year of relevant experience

  • 1 year of hands-on experience testing electronic assemblies

  • Proficient in component-level troubleshooting of solid-state digital and RF circuits

  • Familiarity with schematic interpretation and failure isolation

  • Strong knowledge of solid-state devices and micro-circuitry

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and data collection programs to document test/maintenance actions

  • Flying probe and high-power test experience

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
