Location: Tallahassee FL(Onsite)
Position Type: Contract
Required skills experience etc.: Bachelors degree 5 years of experience as a BA MS Office Suite SQL Queries. Preferred is Microsoft DevOps experience and knowledge of working with State of Florida projects.
Job Description:
- We are looking for a Business Analyst to participate as a member of a full lifecycle agile development team.
- Work across multiple business units to perform business and systems analysis activities and tasks
- Provide analysis and guidance for development team activities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SME) and other stakeholders to ensure requirements are thoroughly documented work flowed tested and achieved
- Assist in the analysis design implementation and testing of solutions
- Research and understand client business processes and their inter-relationships
- Document and diagram business and system processes and dependencies
- Facilitate joint analysis workshops with business units
- Gather and document business and technical requirements as user stories in Azure DevOps and other tools
- Manage backlog and work items using Azure DevOps
- Coordinate with data migration and development teams
- Develop test plans and test cases; coordinate testing and quality assurance efforts
- Perform oversight reviews of deliverables for compliance with department standards
Required:
- Bachelors degree or masters degree in Business Administration Communication Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of experience in Business Process Analysis and systems analysis
- Proficiency in process mapping/modeling with tools such as Visio
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel Word and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in writing SQL Queries and performing Data Analysis
- Knowledge of data migration
- Ability to perform detailed research business analysis as-is and to-be analysis process modeling
- Ability to expertly facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders
- Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure and software development practices and techniques
- System Analysis & Design using various modeling methodologies and techniques
- Knowledge of State of Florida Project Management Rule 60GG-1 and ability to apply PMBOK principles
- Ability to relate to stakeholders needs and document requirements
- Ability to receive and give constructive criticism and maintain effective work relationships
- Ability to adjust to changing demands in a dynamic environment with diverse work assignments
Preferred:
- Experience working with Microsoft DevOps
- Knowledge of Rules 60GG-1 60GG-5 Florida Administrative Code
- Knowledge of change and release management and testing/quality assurance tools and techniques
- Agile project experience and use of Azure DevOps to manage user requirements and backlogs
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
- Advanced skills with Microsoft products: SharePoint Teams Word Excel PowerPoint Power BI DevOps and Project
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA and other federal state and local standards
- Sedentary work involving sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer utilizing a mouse keyboard and monitor
Bachelors degree, 5+ years of experience as a BA, MS Office Suite, SQL Queries. Preferred is Microsoft DevOps experience and knowledge of working with State of Florida projects.
