Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Managed File Transfer (MFT) Administrator with deep hands-on expertise in Global-scape EFT (Enhanced File Transfer) server administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing secure file transfer operations automating workflows ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting integration with enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Globalscape EFT servers ensuring secure reliable and efficient file transfers.
- Configure file transfer protocols including SFTP FTPS and HTTPS to support secure communication.
- Create and manage event rules workflows triggers and automated scripts for file operations.
- Manage user accounts roles permissions and certificates in accordance with organizational policies.
- Troubleshoot issues related to file transfers connectivity access controls and integration errors.
- Collaborate with middleware infrastructure and application teams to support file-based integrations.
- Monitor system health respond to incidents and maintain clear documentation of configurations and procedures.
- Ensure file transfer processes are aligned with compliance standards such as PCI DSS HIPAA or GDPR.
- Develop scripts using PowerShell or other scripting tools to automate repetitive file transfer operations.
- Participate in DevOps initiatives and support CI/CD pipelines as they relate to file transfer automation.
- Provide support and guidance on MFT tool comparisons or migrations including tools like IBM Sterling Axway or GoAnywhere.
Required Skills and Experience
- 6 years of hands-on experience with Globalscape EFT server configuration and administration.
- Proficiency with secure transfer protocols: SFTP FTPS HTTPS.
- Solid understanding of file transfer automation event-driven actions and workflow design.
- Working knowledge of middleware technologies such as JBoss or IBM MQ.
- Strong problem-solving skills in file access user permissions and network troubleshooting.
- Scripting proficiency in PowerShell or similar languages for operational automation.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks related to file transfers.
- Experience integrating file transfer services with enterprise systems or applications.
- Understanding of DevOps tools and basic CI/CD concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to other MFT solutions (e.g. IBM Sterling Axway GoAnywhere).
- Certifications related to Globalscape or secure file transfer technologies.
